Dam it I was so close
I was fitting in my new boost gauge today, I had tried the gauge quickly but didnt pay massive attention as the dial did move. So I got the plumbing a sorted and ready only to find that connection on the back of the gauge where the the blocks together only works correctly when you push hard, as soon as you let go the connecter block stays in place but the dial flashes. My friend seems to think it is the soldering where the connecter block is attached to the gauge.
Dam it so close, I have to send the gauge back but the shop was closed 20 mins before I called.
Sometimes even the simple things go wrong

As above: not seen one resolved yet, as in what was causing it.
If it's the wire to connector it might be cured by soldering. Connector to gauge may be cured by tightening the female part, and inside the gauge, well it could be dry soldered joints, but that would be more than I would want to do with a new gauge.

I conntacted Scoobyworld and told them the problem. They said to send the part back and they would test it. They claim that I am the first to ever ring with a problem with this gauge. They also seem to think that I did it during instalation which is impressive as all I have to do is put a connection into the back of the gauge.

Just got a replacement gauge and now the problem is the connection between the wire from the boost controler to the guage is too loose. Just bought some No More Nails to stick ot in place but it takes 24hour to dry. I havent got that much time to sit in my car.
