Default Quick Q - size of allen bolt covering gugeon pin access?

unfortunatly my allen keys dont quite go to the size of the allen bolt thats covering access to the circlips and gudgeon pins on my block! can anyone tell me what size it is so i can go out and purchase the right size as opposed to buying another larger set at more cost?

14mm.

Rather than an allen key, you might be better off getting an offcut of 14mm A/F hex steel bar from your local metalstock supplier for £buggerall, and turning it with a socket. This is all the "official" Subaru service tool is!

Cant you turn a bolt round and use the head? pop 2 or 3 nuts on and lock them together so you can unscrew, its worked for me in the past anyway.
Merry Christmas.

14mm guys....and this is what i use wrighty>> 14mm Hex

Simon i see it's been a while since you had one apart hehe. Wrighty do forgive him.

Edit>>> Just thought i would add that these are usually threebonded and then torqued to 50Lb Ft so it's best to invest in the larged allen key mate.
