Bottom of piccy is the header tank

Expansion tank is passenger side by the battery.

depends on what year car you have.

but the header tank should be on the lefty of the engine bay squarish metal box with a cap on it. expansion tank is on the right behind the front headlight. and there is a drain plug on the bottle of the radiator on left

all the directions are as if you are looking at the engine standing in front of th car

I topped up the header tank but if you stand looking at the car the header tank is on the left, there is a leak at the bottom of the engine on the right hand side when the car is running?

The rad top hoses are prone to go.
The older style of header tank is also prone to go.
But that sounds like the headgasket
