Default Forged Internals

Hi guys,

I'm looking into strengthening my EJ20 engine with some forged components.
I had my first WRX03 start knocking as a standard with PPP.
My second one was ej20 and had forged internals when i bought it and never had engine problems as long as i had it. I sold this due to my financial situation at the time.

I am fully aware this is pricey but would much appriciate a list of components i'll need.

Might be worth looking at a 2.1 stroker kit as they are very cheap at the moment.

2.1lt Subaru Impreza Stroker Kit (Rated To 550bhp)

Forged engines go aswell if there is no oil on the main bearing, you were just lucky (or is that unlucky) for one to go and the other one not to (mainly go after oil changes).

As above though but I would also upgrade the crank to the twin scroll item which is Nitrided and drilled for better oil feed to the main bearing.

MJE has it pretty much spot on, those parts are good for 500 bhp, doubt you will need more than that unless you want to go cosworth or the likes?
There is a place in bristol that sells the parts at a good price, Catherine runs it (cant remember the name of the place though )

Tony this is the place you're talking about, I got all my forged parts and various other parts off them for my rebuild 6 months ago and found them very well priced & very helpful. Just ask for Catherine

eBay My World - catherinej8377

p.s They did a good deal on the V9 crossdrilled & nitrided crank along with ACL race bearings.
