Default knock sensor

hi im having a problem with my 1995 wrx when temp gauge hits half way check engine light comes on anyone had this problem before?

Have you read the fault codes??

Why have you titled this thread 'knock sensor'??

hi bat the fault code is 22 which i beleive is the knock sensor?

Ar got ya now

Best i can suggest is, change the sensor and see if it cures the fault.

Never heard of the connection between temp and KS before

Can't recommend mate as i have not yet needed one, but any where from main stealers to ebay.

Main dealer £75ish, bought one a couple of months ago. Ebay half that price(didn't look till after I'd bought mine!!!!

it could be the fact the oil has gone thin with the temp and something is starting to knock?? what sort of mileage has it done?? ross
