Could always go ESL daughter board retaining factory settings for knock and idle ? Similar spec to mine, I would be more than happy with ESL in retrospect.

They are adding closed loop idle control. The object is so that the idle can take care of itself.

Why not contact Simtek direct or have triton enquire on your behalf. Personally I would wait, but if Triton are as accommodating as you imply I am sure you could proceed on the understanding that updates are imminent.

i did check out the simtek website but it hasnt been updated 4 ages-i have 2 go back and speak 2 the boys at triton sat morn but i think its going 2 b a case of getting the car mapped initially and then having a map tweak when the new software is available and it really is now or never cos if i wait a month or 2 the money will only disappear on something else
