Some servicing help/questions please
Going to do some work myself to help save costs .... , I am pretty handy with mechanics but need some help/pointers with the following please;
- how do I gap spark plugs? is it a case of bending the tip??
- how often does a fuel filter need changing, how easy is it to change on a blobeye?
- what tools will I require to change the sparkplugs?
Any pics especially welcome
Thanks in advance
Iain

1: Yes, gently. NGK PFRxB/PFRxG should be in the ballpark out of the packet so won't need much, if any tweaking.
2:Should be 2 years, but with modern high quality fuel, shouldn't be a critical issue. Theoretically easy peasy to change, but the pipes are often a pest to get off as they stick very effectively to the tails of the filter. Either leave the car overnight or disconnect the fuel pump to depressurise first.
3: 3/8 ratchet, 14mm spark plug socket, small extension and universal joint would normally do it. Plus whatever you need to remove the airbox and washer tank otherwise access is limited.

And thanks for the pic, not quite what I had in mind but made me chuckle
