Question fuel economy(not in a subaru!!) :

i've had my twin turbo legacy estate auto for 2 years now, with no major issues(apart for gearbox rebuild!!). the only thing i still can't get used to is
19 mpg on super unleaded.
i'm sure i've asked this before but is this about the norm????
do these work???

just think if they did work, then why isn't a simple clamp of magnets come as standard on all cars

Total ripoff

Small resistors (worth about 2p) attached to a sensor to fool the ECU it's getting really cold air, if you want your car to overfuel all the time.. go for it

does more damage than good

Compared to that you would be better pi$$ing in your fuel tank! Your MPG would go up and it would be free.

I had a twin turbo estate and if its an auto 19 mpg is about average around the town,on a steady run @ 70 mph i never got more than about 25 mpg, and when giving it plenty and the sound of both turbo's on re -heat on the motorway,it use to use a gallon to get to rugby(11 miles).I loved driving it ,but was spending more time at tesco's fuel pumps, than i was at home(lol),and on first name terms with the lady behind the counter(pat) .The fuel tank can hold 60 ltrs - but at times it felt like it was no bigger than a zippo lighter.
Super unleaded petrol was 0.92 p a litre then, not the rip off price it is now,as for the resistors forget it,they normally attatch to your air flow meter, and fool the ecu - as said above can lead to overfuelling and no real gain in performance as they claim.
