Default Engine Lift

Right when the car is warm i get a oil leak which looks like it is coming from the sump, The bad thing is its where the 2 bolts are that you can not get to. I have read i need to lift the engine a bit ? I do not have a engine lift so has anybody done this using a jack or anything else and if so where do you place it on the engine and what needs undoing.
Many Thanks Neil

Are you sure it's the sump and not the Rear Main Oil Seal that's leaking?

You can get to the 2 bolts on the back of the sump without jacking the motor up, if you use a 1/4 drive ratchet, extensions, universal joint and 10mm socket

to remove, clean, reseal and refit the sump is a couple of hour's labour. ( + an oil change)
