Default aerocatches stuck open

bloody things. ive soaked them both in wd40. managed to get one closed but the other is stuck open.

any ideas and is the common? ive had them since new. been on the car 3months.

thats same as mine but mine lasted wee bit longer 4 months stick all the time tried the same wd40 i put mine in sum oil over nite and not had any problems since into a month now no sticking

ive closed them now. i had to get a pliar on the piston and slide that in manualy.

if i open them fully they lock open. ive a set on my saxo and subaru. both as old as each other. its the bloody saxo thats stick. both are kept outside and do regular road miles.

Just spray them with WD every couple of weeks. I'm on my second pair after breaking the first after they locked. I just spray every couple of weeks and have had no problems.

car looks really good. wheels n rcm especially. really good!

You guys go for a the locking ones and keep the bonnet release? Any pics of the install? do you pop rivet the bolt onto the slam panel and cut the bonnet?

I've got the locking ones on mine and no bonnet catch.

Dunk that's not a stick lol

It's an offering from the Accuracy International stable.

both my cars have them. i didnt want the locking ones. dont like the look and i do still have oe bonnet catch for security.
