put an sti engine into a uk car
does anyone know how dificult and what parts would be needed to put an sti engine into a year 2000 gc8 uk turbo 2000 and what year engine would be most suitable,cheers

swapping engines! whats all that about now adays

Both engines are open deck blocks, both use the same crappy rods which is the weak spot, just do a turbo/ecu map change and there ya go 
cheaper than swapping engines out

Unless he has a blown engine and has been offered an STI as a replacement. That was the case for me and I suspect is the case here.
