Wink found this under my carpet any one shed any light as to what spec it is

hi all i just got my avcr and befor fitting decided to do my research on the ecu and wiring 1st here is what i found ..
told by many my cars a stock uk 2000 wagon turbo but seem to easyly out run most cars around the 300 bhp mark the car is running a stable 11psi pulls like a train any one got any more info on the ecu here iss the code of the unit a18-000 dix also can it be remapped ?

Well you have a Prodrive ecu which was part of the Prodrive Performance package so it's already been fettled with as for the exact specs i don't know sorry.

AFAIK a year 2000 car can be mapped, try for Open Source as it's half the price of Ecutek....

dont bother remapping the prodrive ecu, sell it and buy a a power fc unit

Yeah, you sell Prodrive ECU's for around 300 quid. Mine never had the prodrive sticker on it though, and I've never seen one with it. Then you just pick up astandard ECU for around 50 quid,or one with an ECUtek license already on it for around 150 to save some mapping costs.

May i just ask why you would want to change this ecu? Are'nt they highly tuned being a Prodrive/STI unit? What power output does your car have with this?

It takes the standard 217 bhp classic to around 245. So not highly tuned, but worth it for some people.
