Default oil question again!!

just a quikie.been reading the recent threads and 5/40 or 10/40 oil seems to be popular.however, halfords flip book states factory recommended oil is semi-synthetic although im thinking of using mobil 1 fully synthetic as my mate uses it every time and seems to like it.is this any good for bug-eyes?also any benefit over a sti filter and standard factory filter,i mean is it worth the extra expense??cheers peeps

Default oil

i have used 10/40 semi and standard filter for over 10 years with no problem no need to buy the more expensive parts just change the oil and filter around 3000 miles.

The 10w-40 semi synthetic is the minimum you can use on the car, anything up from there quality wise is a good thing and down to the owner.

We find many go for 5w-40 or 10w-50/15w-50 synthetics.

Cheers
