Default cat back exhaust

i recent bought a cat back exhaust for 2001 bug eye wrx

i had a pal put it on the motor for me. only problem is i cant get an exact fit for the gasket between the cat and mid pipe. its not a good fit he says because the bore is 3" its needs a larger gasket but ive been all over inverness trying to find one he said if its 60mm one side and 80mm the other in a o ring type gasket. (coned)

any ideas who will have one even online?

are you trying to put a 3" system to your standard 2.5" downpipe?

the cone gasket goes at the end of the 1st cat pipe where it meets the centre section..no where else..all the other gaskets are the flat type..if you have bought a 3" cat back system then the rest of your system must be 3" unless the one you have bought narrows to 2.5" to meet up with your existing system
