Fuel pressure regulator... expensive 1s worth it?

Is it worth payin around £160 for a SARD one or will a £40 do?
is standard fuel pressure 3 bar? what pressure would i have to run to acheive 280-300bhp with classic 380cc injectors?

not sure if standard pressure is 3 bar, i just got my sti v7 remapped by andy forrest, and he set my fuel pressure regulator to 3 bar on idel, its running over 330bhp.
