Default want a new exhaust will i need a remap again

hi guys fitted an exhaust system few month ago and lots other mods an got it mapped but just too loud for me now an not to keen on it. it a hks back box 4". if i change back box will i need a remap again or will the car adjust its own fuelling to suit. also anybody recomend a backbox that burbles sweet but not noisy. thanks for help guys

no remap will be required just by changing the backbox..what year car is it

its a 1999 face lift classic mate. just too loud for me so want a change. thanks for the info

HI, i think the prodrive back box is about right ,mines a full ppp system with the resonator pipe changed to a straight through on a 345 bhp sti , on light thottle its a nice and quiet, but on full thottle its loud .

yea mines crazy loud since i changed the headers mainly but in the mornings its the worst. how much does a ppp backbox usually cost? anybody rate hayward an scott on a noisy level?

Hi seddomyster, I have a MY99 and I have a Magnex back box. It sounds nice and deep and not overly loud. It is really well made, check out the for sale section you may be able to swap with someone, just an idea.

have a look on ebay for a prodrive one , i've seen them very cheap before cos people get rid of them for loud aftermarket ones .

thanks guys ive been looking around for some1 to swap but only thing is is trusting the swap so checked trader score as its too much to risk. i will look on ebay mate cheers.
