What would you say the labour time and cost of doing an oil change on a 01 reg wrx uk300 would be?

Mate I would say give it a go yourself. I have just done mine and it was easy. £40 for the oil, £10 for the filter and sump plug washer and about 25 minutes of my time. It's really really easy and you get the satisfaction of knowing you have done it right and saved yourself a few quid too ! Simples

If it's done properly (meaning downtime built in for the old oil to drain, prefilling the new filter and the oil pressure establishment and top-up), it could run to a couple of hours.

If it was done the way a lot of service agents might do it, you'd likely see change from ten minutes.

As Wilky says, best way is to do it yourself.
