Default hesitation. fuel cut i think.

hi. i have just bought a 97 sti i have noticed at about 4500 revs it starts to hold back and judder badly, i think its the fuel cut defender coming on.

i have noticed the dump valve hissing on idle if i play about with it stops but it soon starts again.

would this boost leak cause the fuel cut. im not sure what its boosting at as its not on the road yet, but would be nice to get it sorted before i start using it next month if possible.

I had a similar hesitation on mine, and it turned out to be a ht lead. So might be worth checking your plugs, leads, and coil packs.

Hi guys,

Maybe coincidence but this sounds a bit like my problem over on this other thread - could you please take a look?

Thanks!
