Boost Controller and 3 port solenoid
Few questions,
1)Would a 3 port boost solenoid hold boost better than the standard one?
2)Is there, realistically, a decent electronic boost controller just for switching between high and low boost setting for under £200?
3)Are there any recommendations on brands?
Cheers,
Tom

A three port needs mapping, don't just fit one for "fun", JGM had one in his "bag" when he mapped mine, just in case it needed it. Mine's a tiny bit lumpy in top gear, but how often do you use high revs in top anyway.
Apexi AVCR is one of the best, try to find a 2nd hand one.

see harvey performance, they do a good simple cheap 3 port for well under £200. Its a single solenoid but very high quality its a HDI SBC-D-SE. For the money its really good, see this review on a forester install.
HDI SBC-D-SE Boost Controller Install : (mykp.co.uk)
edit: I should add that you may need to buy more/better pipework as i found mine a little short and a bit too soft for my chosen install position (lower right of steering column in little cubby hole).
