Default what is this

hi people is this a lamba sensor and do i need it,
im fitting a decat downpipe but this is to small to fit the hole or do i need to buy a reduser bolt to make it fit, the car has simtek ecu fitted.

its EGT sensor to let you you know if the cat catches fire! if you did a simple search, and 2 minutes of reading you could have found that out!

i have that on my wrx cable tied in engine bay,as above cat on fire sensor,it runs without it being in the downpipe(mine does anyway) cheers bryan

quick qu, by not connecting it, will it flag an error code on the ECU??

no its only new age models wrxs that flag CEL on removal or EGT, but CEL can be easily removed by various methods
