every one, ive noticed today that when driving my oil pressure is @ 100 psi

On idle it sits @ 40 to 50 psi and when driving it is usually @ 80 psi, but driving back from work i have noticed that it is running @ 100 psi, does this sound right as it has never sat this high before, what can cause high oil pressure and what kind of damage can it cause?

return valve in the pump is probably jammed

can that cause any damage with the oil circulating?

As its stuck shut, its obviously better than open and no oil pressure!
but i would still have it looked at, have you changed the oil recently?

yeah the oil was changed about 2 months ago and have covered about 1500 miles

They are known for doing strange things after oil changes, for now i wouldn't get alarmed just make sure to get it to your local garage for them to check

Oil up to temperature when you noticed the high pressure?

Mine is exactly the same, should be nothing to worry about.

Hot idle 80% C or so.
