Idle issues with Apexi PFC
Morning all,
I had an Apexi PFC fitted and mapped a couple of months ago and I've been having idle problems ever since.
I have a MY99 rb5
It started a few days after the map, the revs would drop right down to about 200 rpm and slowly creep up to 800 (Idle setting on the PFC)
I removed the ICV and cleaned it and it seemed to be fine for a day or so then would gradually get worse. It got so bad that it would occasionally stall.
I removed the ICV a few times and cleaned it, every time it would be fine for a short while the go back to the problem.
I bought a replacement ICV and fitted it last week and the car ran brilliantly for a few days but has now started doing the same again so I'm guessing it could be a problem with the apexi ecu?
Has anyone had similar issues ? Are there any settings on the ecu I can safely change myself without f*cking it up?
any ideas/ help greatly received
Cheers,
Martyn

if it suddely works it cant be the ecu can it? also i think that the ICV can rotate (is ajustable) mabe it had slipped, you can calibrate it ive just had a look two bolts on the top loosen then rotate the top till at requiered revs bit of lock tight do up job done

You must have a different model from me mate, i have a my99, there's nothing on mine that can rotate.
There car does eventually idle at the correct rate, it is just very slow at getting there, it drops very low then slowly creeps up to 800 rpm (takes about 10 sec) after that it idles smoothly. If i touch the throtle, it does exactly the same again, drops way down and slowly creeps up.
Anyone else got any ideas?
