when changing to forged pistons will it be ok to use the rings from the other pistons that match the cylinders?
thanks phil.

The only problem is that the exsiting rings could be seriously weakened/compromised due to the cylinder temps., etc. For the sake of their relatively small price when compared to all the other hardware/fitting costs - or indeed the old ones 'failing' and what that would entail! - then I'd simply be done with it, and fit new rings all round, for colossal peace of mind.
LOL don't be so impatient! 1000m really isn't a great deal of sacrifice........ is it?!

that would be "false economy" any new set of forged pistons should come with ring's and be fitted, trying to fit old rings would from the onset be looking for trouble without doubt.

looked in to it and new forged pistons do come with the rings and there will be new shells, so will NOT be fitting the old rings as it will need to be run in anyway, thanks for the help guys.
