Brakes not balanced...help needed

Default Brakes not balanced...help needed

hi guys friend of mines got car back today after mot failed on brake pads and apparently they need balanced........
how do we balance them or do you think they would balance themselves after we stick new pads in?

hi mate it sounds like one of the calipers has seized up it my correct its self when the new pads are fitted

hi matey it sounds like one of the calipers has seized it may correct its self with new pads

CHHERS MATE, THINK IT WOULD BE WORT WHILE PUMPING THE PISTONS RIGHT OUT AND OILING THEM UP BEFORE I PUSH BACK IN AND FIT PADS?

That idea is a non-starter Kingalzer. If one or more of the pistons has seized, it'll be due to a failed seal boot, or humidity in the brake fluid, or both. You won't be able to "oil" the pistons anyway due to the presence of said boots. Of course you could take these off, but bottom line is that your idea isn't a solution to the problem, and given how important braking safety and consistency is, it isn't worth d*cking about.

You may be overestimating the scale of the problem anyway - may simply be that they need bleeding. If you're not confident sorting things out yourself, put it in the hands of someone who is. It isn't just you who needs your brakes to work when you need them to.

im not so much of an amateur that id do somethings stupid,ive just never stripped a calliper appart before! done SEVERAL engine swaps conversions etc and although your help is appreciated you took it too far.
