Default regulating fuel pressure down + new ecu

right iv nearly completed my fuel rail set up but, thing is i was on 440's before and now im fitting 740's. i know injectors are the last thing to change, but i dont want to put the 440's in for mapping to swap them again to the 740's so can i use my fuel lab regulator to turn the pressure down a bit so they dont chuck as much fuel in?

the cars had lots changed, full exhuast, turbo, injectors, fuel pump, different air filter, fmic etc. its a completely different car.

Iv got a simtek to go on, so can drop the maf but just wondering if i should keep hold if the stock ecu + maf just incase? or can i adjust the fuel reg down a tad, whack the simtek on for the mapper to load a base map - would that be ok?

i knew this would be a nightmare cars not on the road, taxed, mot'd etc so live road mappings out the question also.

I would suggest a trailer, or swap it all when you get there.

Send your Simtek off and get a base map installed !

QED

P.S. Fuel flow is proprtional to presure ^ 2 so 2.25 bar will be about right...... MAYBE !

P.P.S. Larger injectors will have different (latency ?) and you can't adjust this ?

Yes just drop the fuel pressure and fit the 740's and run it on the stock ECU and MAF if you just want to get it running to check everythings OK etc. Since its not on the road it won't see any boost so you'll be OK

Yes a trailer would be an obvious option but would rather be able to run it.

Cheers lads
