Default Fuses.....

I don't have a manual, so apologises I can't check myself.

Today on the way home, I flicked the **** over to the windscreen setting and the AC came on as annoyingly normal, so I turned it off, and I think the fuse has blown....

As my gauges, knock sensor, AC and recirc buttons aren't working now.

Any idea's where it is? It may not be this, it could be the wiring, but want to check the fuse 1st.

Thanks a lot

Knock sensor? Or do you mean knocklink? Sounds like an accesory fuse or two, do your interior lights work, I had this, one 15A fuse controlled a lot of acc's!

Sorry, yeah I mean't knock link. As I wired it up together (and has been fine for months).

Yeah the light is still working internally. I'm not sure exactly which wire I used now, but when wiring up the Defi's, I read to use one which runs from the AC wiring loom (can't remember the reason now though, think it might have had something to do with the opening ceremony). Where is the accessory fuse?

Thanks

Manuals are here https://www.scoobynet.com/technical-...w-updated.html courtesy of Slipstream_uk

Can't see 2003 manual but there is 2002 and 2004. Should give you some idea.

Good Luck

Glad you found the fuse but have you figured why it blew? 15 amps is a bit big to just blow without reason.

Yeah, I was a bit worried about that to be honest.

I'm not 100% sure what all runs off that fuse, but at the time I had my Defi's, Knock Analyser, Radio on, then I flicked the **** to turn the air to the windscreen, and the A/C came on as per, so I turned it off, and at that point the fuse blew!

I've checked the wiring etc, but really cannot see a problem, and has been fine all weekend.

KS3 draws no power at all 250ma they told me. Mines fused with a 500ma fast blow fuse now and hasn't popped so I would get it fused if you don't already.
I wouldn't worry about the 15amp fuse if its only done it the once really, your a spark anyway are you not so you'll know the in and outs of it as much as I do.

Cheers Chris

Think I've found what could have been the problem. I was looking for a rattle (another story), and noticed my A/C belt had snapped!! So if this is on the same fuse, I guess this was the problem. Probably got snagged and pulled too much current.

I know on previous cars I've had the aircon clutch had its own fuse. Not sure on the scoob as I'm not home till thursday so can't check on it.
If the aircon clutch is on the way out they pop fuses like no tomorrow as I've found out in the past!

Oh right, I didn't know they had their own fuse. To be honest, I haven't put the air con on since...and won't be for a while now, until I get a new belt!!

Belt will be cheap enough anyway won't it.
I only know about the fuse as on my old car the aircon clutch went on it, costly exercise but manage to get it done from where I bought it for free.

Well, went to put the blowers on the windscreen again today, and when the A/C came on, it blew the fuse again!

So guess there is something up with it........

Ditch the air con ! Must be worth a few bhp and I've heard you get a extra 10 mpg fuel economy . Ill give a hand stripping it out this weekend if you want.

I love my air con though!! Plus when I'm starting work at 4am on the cold winter mornings, it means I don't have to sit in the car for 20mins waiting for it to de-mist, and waking the neighbours! We can't all live a life of luxury like you dave
