Hi,

Can a 76mm inlet pipe be fitted under a newage sti8 inlet manifold without removing the manifold or using spacers?

Thanks

Are you fittng a silicon item or a metal item is the first thing.
I have never fitted a silicon inlet hose so am not to sure. I did fit the APS metal 76mm intake pipe to my Bug, but that was as part of a few jobs which meant the inlet manifold was removed.
Here is a link to the APS inlet pipe, APS Turbo Inlet Pipe

The instalation guide is accessed from near the bottom of the page.

Hi Steve, I will be fitting a silicon hose. Did your metal pipe fit without using spacers to raise the inlet manifold?

Thanks

It might have done, but the spacers where already in the box of bits to be fitted so I did not try. But looking at the APS instructions I cannot see why not.

It should fit without spacers.
Usually only the turbo end is larger

Good stuff. Thanks for the help guys!

Also wanted to know if anyone has an idea of how much torque a stock sti8 clutch can handle?

I have a 76mm sfs silicone pipe and I did not take the manifold off.

My standard sti hawkeye clutch lasted for about 4 months running 500lb/ft of torque.
