Default VF34 or FP HTA68?

Hi

I made the mistake a couple of months ago, ordering a VF34 from a well known website to go on my 05 WRX.
The problem is, the website have had my money for months, and are claiming nil stock from their suppliers. (I should have done a search first!)

I have recieved an e-mail, offering me a FP HTA68 instead.

Do I cut and run, to at least get something for my money, or do I hold out for the 34?

Any comparisons, or power figures would be helpful

280BHP 05 WRX with full decat, ecutek, sti intercooler, and pinks to go in.

Cheers

I know nothing about the other turbo, but you get what you pay for or your money back. I would not be accepting anything of that price range, that i did not want nor order. It must be a basic statutory right surely?

I know what you're saying, but if this other turbo is any good, I will have it and any money difference refunded. It just saves any further hassles, and small claims action.

Anyone got any experience of the HTA 68 on a UK car on UK fuel?
Lots of yanks seem to use E85

One of the members in the Danish Subaru Owners Club had one fitted a few months back by EMS in Holland. Mark at EMS had good results from this turbo. I have more than full confident in Marks word, he is a very capable mapper. This was to a 2003 STI and the owner is VERY pleased with the setup, very responsive and around 350HK. He is running EcuTek, 3" decat downpipe and a full HKS Silent Hyper.

Wikipedia rules.

Seems they are one for one.

Do you know what the spool was like? VF34 is a ball bearing turbo, and i assume that the HTA 68 is normal thrust bearing.
