Default Oil light on dashboard not working after fitting oil pressure gauge.

I've got more problems now after fitting my Prosport gauges at the weekend !

I've fitted the sender for the oil pressure gauge using the Scoobyparts oil pressure/temp fitting kit. The original sender is fitted into the end of the adaptor. Now with the ignition on the oil light doesn't come on as it should do,i've checked all the wiring etc and it all looks ok !

Anyone got any ideas ?

You need to ground the sensor to the block

It works by being screwed into the block and gets its ground signal through the block and threads.
You need to ground the metal part of the sensor or the adaptor it is now screwed into just not the spade connector on the end

Had exactly the same thing when I fitted my oil pressure gauge and it was the same fix.

So you pay for someone else to fit it or take it back for them to fix. Either way it gets more money out of our pockets.
