Nah doesnt affect power, i've always thought it was the induction like, nowt serious like turbo on way out as thats a much more noticeable whine, more high pitched.

Aye only had mine about a month or so like, whats your plans with it like??

I had mine for about 7 weeks now, runs fine although is tappety when cold but quietens when warm. What mileage is on yours? and is it an import? Not really got any plans just want to fit some nice wheels and colour code my skirts.. yourself?

alright guys drove around a hundred miles yesterday and the whale under the bonnet lol is getting annoying, I decided to have a look thismorning. Seems there is a gap from where there the tubing connects onto my induction kit. would this be a likely cause?

Nope, but since we last spoke i've fitted a FMIC and Induction Kit with ali pipe leading to MAF/Cone (not silicon hose)... and the noise has gone.
So chances are it is going to be your induction kit, have you still got the standard airbox etc? Why not try swapping back and see if it makes a difference. Would defo look at sealing that gap whatever you do as your induction kit will problies be doing more bad than good if its not as air tight as possible

Front Mount Intercooler... induction kits are fine aslong as you keep it in a cool part of the engine bay, or in the drivers side wing. I've had to keep mine in the engine bay but have made a box out of ali sheets to shield from the heat so takes in nohing but cold air
