Default Parrallel Fuel Mod

Can someone point me in the right direction as to what I need, to do this. I take it that the OE pressure regulator cant be used if doing this. which reg should I go for value for money wise? where can I get the rail adaptor?
Cheers,
Gaz

It's because you haven't asked what the loudest exhaust or dump valve is.

Re FPR, the Fuelab 515 is the typical choice. But many use Aeromotive or SX as well.

For the parrallel mod, you can get push on fit adaptors for your current rails, get modified standard rails or full on billet insulated ones that Carl Davey makes (I've just ordered a set myself).

Much like the rails, you can do the rest on the cheap (a couple of brass t pieces and rubber hose), or go all out with braided hoses and anodised fittings. The latter isn't cheap and there are lots of options.

woop a reply... lol, cheers

Yea I looked into it abit more and can see lots of options, I think for the time being Im gonna cut the OE fuel rail pipes and use braided fuel hose. Gonna move the OE FPR to the other side and basically reverse the flow for now.

I think its possible to do that without messing anything up.

Cheers again

I use a SX FPR and I've got Carl Davy billet rails. No complaints here.

thanks for that, I would agree that that would be the perfect setup but I cant afford that right now... to many other things needed. To be honest I didnt realise the oe FPR was fitted the way it is and thought that could be reused when doing the parrallel mod, clearly made an error in asumptions.

Is it safe to cut the hard fuel lines and use pipe on top of them without there being a nipple/olive to ensure a good seal? I'm sure I've seen it done on here before.

I cut the standard rails, removed the standard fuel reg, and fitted a Carl Davey adaptor.
I used 2 'T' pieces and about 3m of 8mm braided hose.
I fitted a Sard reg, it's cheaper than the above ones, and works a treat. You'll need a fuel pressure gauge too, so you can set it up. 2.6bar with the vac line disconnected from the reg, which should rise to 3bar connected.

Uhm, isn't the base fuel pressure supposed to be 3 bar with the vac line disconnected? That's the way I set up mine anyway

I wouldn't just cut the fuel lines without "coning" the ends.
