Hi guys sill y question maybe.
I am nearly into my first week of being a my99 type r owner..
I think at some point the turbo has been upgraded on the car but no one or nothing in the paperwork states that.. what is the standard turbo on a my99 type r and how can i find out what my one is ??

VF28 was the standard turbo on the STi5/6, you should be able to see it printed on the turbo at the front.
Does the turbo whine, nothing to worry about if it does, the VF28 whines due to the roller bearing design

Hi thanks for replies... yeah it does whine sounds nice.. i will have a look on there see if i can see... If you boys have type r's then please see my post (what does this button do) in the electrical section
