Default pressure in the turbo water???

can anyone tell me if the water that goes through the turbo and via the header tank is pressurised,as i have a mysterious water leak and when you move the rubber hose that goes from the header tank the the turbo hard pipe water sprays out and its above where a puddle of water apears but only after a good thrashng ,im wondering if this is my problem, the pipe is only clamped by a weak spring clip not a jubblee clip any info would be good cheers

i would suggest thats your problem. All the coolant pipes shoiuld be able to be moved without coolant spraying everywhere. Id take the pipe of and checking for a split in it around the clamping area

yes the system is pressurized but it should not leak when pipes are moved. as above sounds like you have a split pipe

The lower of the two turbo water pipes gets very hot because of its location. I replaced the standard clip on mine with a jubilee because it started leaking when the car was running (there is immediately some pressure in the system as soon as the water pump is running).
