Please can any one help?
My 2000 Forrester Turbo tick over is up and down, this I could live with as it sounds nice and angry till my local MOT station failed it on the down revs emissions this morning.
Also I need to buy a new nearside head lamp and rear shockers, where do I get these items from?

I had this problem with my 00 Turbo Forester for ages after cam belt change and 90k service. It started happening straight afterwards and I was told by the main dealer that it was probably the idle air control valve. I lived with it for over a year until it started gradually running lumpy. Took it to North London Scooby's last week who replaced the MAF sensor and it solved the idle and lumpy running straigt away. I have read elsewhere that when the MAF fails the ECU can compensate, until the battery is disconnected which resets the ECU, then faulty MAF is noticed.
