Default Has the main dealer caught me for a few bob?

OK so I somehow managed to run over my central locking fob and crushed it.

Dealer quoted me £107 for new fob plus £35 to program it.

Now I have a MY01 Classic shape. I read online that to program it all thats needed was to hold down a button situated under the steering column. I looked for the button yesterday and couldnt find it so rang the dealer who told me there is a scart type connection, which I saw, that is used for reporgramming.

Eventually gave in and paid but was they correct?

All sounds like rubbish.

The fobs are around 32 quid each, most places will program for free anyway, but if they don't, you can do it yourself.

Here is the guide: https://www.scoobynet.com/security-1...g-key-fob.html

All of this is too late now, you should have asked us before you paid.

Anyway, a MY01 classic, is that a P1? Didn't think they made other classic that late.

It should be a sigma alarm, with a blue Subaru fob. The keypad is in the glovebox. Have you looked there?

You don't need to, I put the link for the programming above.
