the problem i have is that i can only hit 0.5 bar of boost instead of 1.5 bar and i can not get it to boost any higher in any gear plus about 300miles later the engine light came on the car drives fines as i had to drive back from the ring today but the boost went as i left holland the engine light came on near brussles. any ideas on what this could be?

are you getting black smoke from exhaust could be overfuelling possible maf failure but check out scoobypedia for codes and how to get them.

i haven't gone in 2 limp mode as i can still boot it but the turbo isint going to full boost and theres no smoke at all. i was told by 1 guy at the ring that maybe i got some bad fuel in germany and i need to reset the ecu is that true. but that was before the engine light came on. also on the dash panel when you rev to just after 6k rpm theres a light that lights up telling you to change gear that has stopped working also.

Limp mode will restrict boost to 0.5, as sy says you need to diagnose the ecu for error codes to see whats wrong
