Default Cold air feed to filter and lagging front mount pipes - remap required?

Its getting a bit hot under the bonnet

So therefore want to
1. Put in a cold airfeed directed on to the cone filter.
2. Lag the front mount intercooler pipes and the down pipe.
3. Possible heat shield for the turbo.

I am running Simtek.

Would any of this work require a remap?

Thanks all

Hay there

I'm new to all this so dont take my word for it 100%

Was it mapped B4 ? If so then prob not.
Unless having a cooler air intake will mess up the fuel / air mix ... It might make it run lean ?
I know people who have done this and not bothered
I can't see it "needing" a remap ... Unless you got more money then sence , It which case map mine :P

But like I said I'm new to the scooby world of modding , So prob better to wait for other people's view on it

Why dont u pm JGM , I'm sure he will let yar know more

No remap required for any of that as you are just making it run cooler. Once done a remap might extract a few more ponies but you would be best off waiting till you added some proper mods before wasting any money

Thanks guys
Its what I half guessed. I am just making things cooler....its not like I am replacing intercoolers or headers ect - where a remap is obvious.

Thanks again

Also remember that the Simtek is a MAP based ECU, unlike the stock ECU which is MAF based, so you won't have the usual issues you might encounter when making induction changes and how those effect airflow through the MAF.
