Undertray required??? for V7 TMIC - classic

Ive picked up an STI7 TMIC and wondered If Im likely to encounter any heating/cooling problems without the V7 undertray. I currently have a Zero Sports tray fitted at the moment. Anyone??

Its more about having the right size of rubber seal that sits around the top of the intercooler to maximise the air flow through the intercooler. You need to have a good seal so all the air passes through it.

Hope this makes sense.
