Post V5 or V6???

Hi peeps, Im fairly new to the scooby world but so glad to be here I've got an Impreza Turbo 2000 AWD, 4 door, on a '99 plate. How do i tell if mines a V5 or V6 (what are the main differences too). I recently changed timing belt and assume its got the dohc engine due to the 2 gears on either head!?! Sorry for being dumb!

Cool. The 2nd G (4th character) means that you've got the last MY Classic, the MY2000 (Sep 99 - Aug 00). Also, the K indicates that it is indeed a genuine UK car. That's all that matters as far as the code is concerned for a UK car.

So yes, your ECU is mappable as mentioned in the erlier post.

Trouble was it wasnt based on the v5 type R it was more of a mismatch of a V5 saloon and a type R shell and i can say that my V5 Type R has more goodies than a P1 but they have a nicer interior
