Default Violent Wheel Shake

I got stuck in some mud earlier today after numour atempts to get out i finally managed to get out. a little worst for wear.

the car starts etc pulls fine, However im now experiencing a horrible shake from the steering, it gets worst at speed, and is almost un noticlble at low speeds. the wheels are caked in mud, could this have caused the problem, or would a simple loosing of a weight cause it,? maby an aligment issue? wheel bearing?(although theres no noise).

im a little confused as the mud was pretty soft and i didnt hit anything.

any ideas?

If there was mud on the wheels then that would have caused the vibration, unless there was damage done.

ive power washed most of it off now, and i dont have any weights on the front wheels anymore, and the whole of the cv boot area etc was caked in mud.

If you have lots of mud on the inside of the wheel this will be acting as a weight and put the balancing out , clean it all off and you will be back to square one .
