Default A serious fuel tank breather question..

Im not sure what to do with my alloy fuel tank in my project car, i am getting a fair bit of pressure build up and a very strong smell of fuel, at the moment the blue pipe (in pic) is just vented to atmosphere, this is the pipe that usually goes into the purge system, now i dont really want to have to buy and fit the carbon canister and all the pipe work etc so what can i do? ive seen pevious post about removing the canister but no one has really complained about a bad fuel smell.

Does anyone know if there are any other breather pipes on a standard subaru petrol tank? there just seems to be a lot of pressure build up? My main concern is the strong smell of fuel, im worried it could ignite if there was a spark thats how strong it smells.
