Default wrx heads on my2000turbo

anyone know if 96 wrx heads will fit onto my2000 turbo engine i have the pistons with valve cut outs just need to know if inlet will fit?

No, the manifold location bolts are a differnt pattern!

are you saying it is an MY (manufacturing year) 2000 or a uk 2000 turbo 1996?

if it is a year 2000 car then no.. if it is a 93~96 then yes the heads from the wrx will fit

ya soz its a v reg so 1999. (2000 turbo)

r the con rods the same for the wrx as mine
are they longer or shorter? or even the same?

I stand to be corrected, but I think the rods are the same across respective MY years for a Classic i.e. yours will be the same as the same MY JDM WRX's and STI's.

Same story with pistons - except most STi's... Where they were fitted with - or at least had the option of - forged ones.

Rods are the same, the heads are differnt, as I said before a 1999 has off set manifold bolts and a 1996 has in line bolts, you could swap manifolds but you really don't want to go down that road!

why dont i want tot go down that road???
why dont i put a complete wrx engine with manifolds in my 2000?
would that be to much to do coz i dont know if differant on them
i was told that all ej20 blocks will fit my gearbox???? its just the turbo and coilpack that are different what i know about can e n 1 help with what is different?

because it is a backward step.. also the 96 inlet and 00 are different so you cannot use you inlet manifold and you cannot use the 96 one easily as the idle valve is different and throttle position sensor etc.
