500Bhp Turbo Advice Please
Hey guys i need some help choosing a new turbo capable of reaching 500bhp. I have a fp red on the car right now but its got too much lag. ANY ONE????????

my engine is the 2ltr spec c one not the 2.5 will this work the same way? ive had a look at the link joz8968 put up and i dont get any of the technical talk. could you help me? im tryin to get my car to around 500bhp and 450-480lbft.

Realistically, the only way you're going to get 450-480ftlbs of torque on a 2.0lt is with VERY high boost, and either methanol (450ftlb) race fuel (480-500ftlbs). In my opinion, you won't get it on pump fuel.
A genuine 500bhp on a 2.0lt is hard work, unless you run race fuel, and then it's possible. Terry Buckle achieved 504bhp/496ftlbs on a built 2.0lt engine, STi5 heads, a Lateral MD321T turbo, and GT+ 109 fuel.
Also in my opinion, unless it's predominantly for racing, I don't think a 500bhp 2.0lt car is particularly nice to drive day to day, because they're too laggy.

well my car does have the 8k as the rev limit. what do you reckon i can push the car to on vpower with the following mods on the car.
Stage 2 fuel pump
3" decat turbo back
RCM modified oil pump
cosworth main bearings
cosworth big end bearings
omega forged pistons 50mm
FP red turbo
hyperflow MONSTER intercooler
800 or 850cc injectors
hyperflow top mount oil cooler
hyperflow oil catch can
ap racing clutch double plate (from tech-craft cp4216-2)
cosworth sump
baffle plate.
motec m800 plug and play

jap spec sti engine and the rods are cosworth. ive got a motec fitted do you think its a better idea going some where different for another map to see if they can do any better. i really wanted around the 500bhp mark and atleast 450lbft.
