Oil Cooler advice needed.

Oil Cooler advice needed.
I’m looking to fit an oil cooler to the P1 in prep for a trip to the ring, but if I’m going to be honest oil coolers aren’t my forte!
I am trying to decide whether to go for a 100mm (13 row) x 235mm cooler and mount it behind the front grille, or whether to go for a larger cooler size and fabricate some brackets to mount one in place of my TMIC when I get round to purchasing a FMIC sometime in the near future? Could anyone make a recommendation?
Also, would the oil filter have to be relocated? If so, can anyone recommend a relocation point?
If anyone has pics of their cooler on a GC8 can they post them up?

I would think the stock cooler should be more than adequate, but if you want to go airblast you'll need a 19 row to give any more cooling than the stock part, replace the stock cooler with the sandwich plate and route the coolant back on itself.

all scoobs have oil coolers as standard its on the block just above the oil filter it has water flowing through it which taxes the cooling system slightly but asists warm up of the oil better as the water heats up quicker
i use a 25 row mocal cooler and thermostat sandwich plate, and cooler mounted where tidgy`s is got it all brand new off ebay for 120 bargain

Excellent (mr burns esque) lol!
although i have an ali rad which has a larger core size which may obstruct the cooler from fitting between the FMIC and rad!?
How easy is the cooler to fit? is it just a case of sandwich plate on between filter and block, oil cooler mounted, then run the lines or vice versa?
AND... would i need to uprate the oil pump for any reason i might not be aware of?

i didn't fit it, however, its place between the upper and lower pannel infront of the rad, uses thick rubber washers to keep snug. the piper work runs through a slightly trimmed back gap between the read and the verticle plate at the side
can see the verticle section ont he left of the rad, but its more a slight rounding off of hte edge of it ratehr than a full on hole as it were
thermo fits above the filter,
unfortuantly i didn't take any more pics than that. as far as clearing your rad the fits pretty snug but next time i have the car with me (lives at a secret location) i'll see if i can tell how much clearance there is.
im still running the standrd pump

In fact, what am i talking about? It sits infront of the aircon rad, not main rad!
The main rad is behind the aircon rad so it would make no difference what size the main rad is as the cleareance between the aircon rad and FMIC would not have been affected.
Thanks mate! I think i will just have to order one up and see how to fit it!
