Can anyone point me in the right direction for the falut finding thread 4 the classics?? ive searched it and everything and cant find nowt!!
Can you fault find using the engine managment light??

Ok ive followed the instructions and all i get is the engine check light along with all the other lights staying perminently on.. what am i doing wrong?? im getting all the clicking from the relays and the fans goin wacko... now wot?

If READING the codes (not resetting the ECU), then it's ONLY the BLACK "Read" connectors that are joined together.... Leave the GREEN "Test Mode" ones UNCONNECTED. You've defo done this, yes?!

Phew, what a relief! 'Cause if you'd have said that you had only had the blacks together, then I wouldn't know what to suggest...

Well, the suspense is killing me - did it work?! Any codes?

unfortunatly the suspense will have to wait until 2moro as shes tucked away in the garage lol.. i will tell you tomorrow and then have loadddddddds more questions for you lol.. 'wot does this code me' blah blag lol.. thanks tho matie!

Why are you checking for codes? (I take it the CEL never came on). Are you just being curious?

If nothing's wrong, then as mentioned, you shoud get constant, equal 0.5sec on/off flashes.

If any codes crop up, then it's slow flashes for the 'tens' digit and faster flashes for the 'units' digit.

As an example, if code '23' comes up (MAF sensor, I think), then it should flash slowly twice (for the '2'), then flash faster for three times (the '3').

well my engine check light has poped up afew times so want to check it out as i know the ecu logs the codes.. or so i think.. i just want to be sure really... doesnt come on v.often thought..
