Got my Defi's ths morning
I've got instructions in Japanese (useful) with a T connector and pipe for the turbo, I think I can fathom out where this goes, although I did think it was only one pipe that fitted to the block.
After pulling of the blanking plug.
Where does the other flexible pipe go? Also wheres the best place to mount the turbo sensor?
The flexy pipe is only 8" or so from the T so I don't think its going to reach the point of mounting shown on Chairks site
As for the oil, I've got what looks like the oil temp sensor, brass jobbie, but not an oil pressure sensor. Got the lead that plugs into the ecu and then into the pressure sensor, but no sensor! Where can I get a sensor and lead from?
Can post picture of the bits I've got if someone can tell me where they go!, I'm not going to connect the oil bits on as I'm getting a garage to do it, I just want everything in the right place so they have the minium amount to do.
Thanks in advance for any help.
John

Here's the bit I don't understand I thought that I needed one hose to attach to the output point on the engine..
Why have I got a T-piece? Where does this go?

If you have a pre 01 car you should have
a spare outlet nipple on the inlet manifold
so you dont need the T piece. On 01 cars there is no spare nipple
so you have to cut the pipe going to the fuel pressure regulator
and insert T piece.

Thats what I thought, but as I got the stuff 2nd hand and I've got 2 pipes that are joined with the T connector I assumed that was how the other guy had them fitted..
So the pipe just goes from the manifold point (when I removed the bung cap) straight to the sensor, where's the best place to mount the sensor then? I read that its best to keep the pipe from the manifold to the sensor as short as possible.

I would mount the sensor on either the
inner wing or bulkhead away from the heat and
vibration of the engine. You may need a bit longer
pipe but mines on the inner wing and works perfectly.
you will also need an insert for your oil pressure
sender that goes in a plugged hole above cyl no3(subaru
dealer)and a defi supplier for the oil sender as it
should come with the kit.
