Yes i have an induction kit fitted, no real problems except the maf sensor and the fact that its in the engine bay collecting hot air:s so if i get the chance then i will probably revert back to the air box (or a modified airbox)

induction kit
Fitted one yesterday (post on here)
K&N 57I - cost £106 - excellent quality, fits with no alterations or hassle no engine management lights issues (as with cheaper flebay kits) sounds fantastic
when filter on it uses the cold air pipes of old airbox so cold air is directed straight onto the filter. Filter in bottom left tucked nr to left wing if standing looking head on to the car so its away from major heat sources anyway. (2006 STI)

I would say dont fit an induction kit. Yes they do sound good with the sucking and wastegate chatter but they make the intake temps quite a bit higher.
I had an apexi one fitted with cold air feed, I fitted an intake temp sensor then went back to the standard filter and found the temps dropped about 10-15 degs on average.
I would suggest your standard box with a good panel filter.

I have a cheap one off ebay fitted-cold air induction kit right down to front of bumper- minted.
Andy forrest was impressed with it and has now put the same exact one on his new age 400 bhp spec c- cant be all that bad.
I have ran it 3 years and not once had a problem.
In fact andy says as long as you map for the induction kit you WONT se any problems- big names aint everything

SN recently moved over to bigger & better servers, so prob still having the occasional teething problem
I noticed the other week that at certain times the pages weren't loading; getting "database error - page not loading" style messages...

The MAF signal response needs recalibrating with a remap to avoid such problems.
My £18 Ebay wing mount job is still working fine and dandy. Both the intake tubing, MAF mount and filter are of a surprisingly good quality and I suspect that it is also supplied to big name, who slap on their logo and add another 1000% to the price.
