Default no power,management light,smoke???

driving scooby today after just filling up with fuel decides to start to lose power at about 80mph then management light come on looked in mirror blue smoke,i got it into lay by where it wouldnt tick over i started it up with few revs and clouds of smoke come out of it mainly white smoke any ideas?????? car didnt get hot!!!

i started car this morning it ticked over i reved it a little and blue smoke come out ,was told its probly turbo so took it of today a bit of oil in pipes and a bit run out from behind propella but there is no play in shaft, i checked oil and water and hadent used 1bit ,if a oil seal had gone would it make car lose power or just smoke?

did u put diesel in it ???

mine was these symptoms round knockhill do a comp test esp the rear right cylinderi had melted the piston a baw hare due to det hope not the mate just a sugestion

no didnt put diesel in as that was first thought but had reciept and checked it,can i do i compression test with turbo still off? is there any1 near sheerness kent with a compression tester? thanks!!

maybe a long shot but you haven't got a split turbo hose have you? mine got a split in tmic pipe onto inlet, it wudnt idle of drive, seems to me if it happened at 80 when you were givin it boot it could b this. check all the hoses and jubilees etc. you tend to get the smoke coz of overfuel and wrong pressure arround turbo. Just all the symptoms i had wit that prob.

yeh id say so best thing to do is one at a time spark plugs out and crank the engine a few times with the crank sensor off so it don`t fire and see what you get they should all be the same around 160 i think i got to the last one and it was at 80

gutted

they are cheap to buy from halfords 20 notes or something just make sure you get one with a longer hose for ease of fitting. hth Greig
