hey peeps, well today took my car to slowboy to fit a hks decat downpipe. short story is that it didnt fit, i was told its around 5-6 inches too short. its diffenently for a newage neil said.
my current setup is
ninja sports cat downpipe - scoobyworld
cat pipe - scoobyworld
afterburner centre pipe - scoobyworld
blitz nur spec s
anybody had a similar problems fitting a downpipe? i was told if you mix and match exhaust parts you'll never get the perfect fit
going to order a scoobyworld decat downpipe tomorrow, hope it fits
is the scoobysport and scoobyworld decat downpipe the same???

hi
i bought the same hks downpipe for my newage blobeye from a member off here and it was about 5 inchs too short, returned it.
I then bought another hks one from grahme goode convinced it was correct, guess what that was short also. Grahme goode contacted hks who gave a vague answer somewhere along the line of oh yeah it doesnt fit all of the newage cars. Returned that one also
In the end went for a revolution downpipe which fitted like a glove and there not too far from me as was desparte as the car was on axel stands in the garage, the revolution one is bellmouth and 3inch and a lot lighter.
Good luck.

sorry forgot to say i was using a scoobyworld afterburner centre section and back box with a prodrive decat link pipe.
When i got the revolution one which looks very similar to the scoobyworld one it fitted fine and it also replaced the link pipe so macthed up to the centre section fine.

I'm looking to get the downpipe either from hayward & scott which is not too fart from me, or from scoobysport.
The one on scoobyworld is the hayward & scott I believe...
Scoobysport one is a lot cheaper though, would it fit my setup???

Another quality piece of advice from Tony Burns
Wiley, I keep both the Revolution and RCMS downpipes in stock (both single and twin scroll) so should be easy enough to get one that fits - my guess is the Revolution downpipe.

Wiley, this is a prime example as to why you should
a) seak the advice of those carrying out the work prior ro purchasing any parts
or
b) purchase parts from the company that is carrying out the fitting
This way will save you both time and expense

given mocom a call, more decisions now
spoke to scoobyworld, which said that their downpipes join on to the cat pipe i have(so 2 peice). scoobysport downpipe i believe goes all the way from turbo to centre pipe(one peice).
and mocom, which sell the hayward & scott one which i believe will be also one peice.
prices vary from £119 +vat from scoobysport
£210 from mocom
£171.49 from scoobyworld which is just from turbo to cat pipe
just waiting on reply from scoobysport, but still unsure which one to go for...
