Default how do i stop it!

my fan belt is sqelling (no good at spelling lol)
and its doing my head in, how do i stop it?
if i have got to tighten it where is the tensioner on a 97 sti import
pics would be helpful as im as good with a spanner as i am with spelling lol

If the belt/ribs are worn then the only cure is a new belt.
If you over-tighten the belt to cure the noise,you run the risk of damaging the bearings on the alternator,PAS pump etc.

I fitted 1 about 1 month ago, after 3 weeks it was making a noise. I tightened it up, but how do you no how much. Dont want to naff any thing up.
